Yesterday, our Georgia interns enjoyed a Golf Car product day at the picturesque Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Georgia. They experienced firsthand the performance and customer-focused design of our Drive 2 Electric Golf Cars, highlighting Yamaha's forward-thinking innovation. After test-driving our Golf Cars, the interns received putting, chipping, and driving lessons from the Pinetree Country Club Golf Professionals, deepening their understanding of the game of golf and Yamaha Golf Car's position in the golf industry. We concluded the product day with a fireside chat with Mark Blankers, Yamaha's Golf Car Research and Development Division Manager. Last week, we had an incredible time celebrating Yamaha Day, marking another milestone in our company's remarkable journey. Recently, our Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit donated two Yamaha WaveRunners to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) to enhance the enforcement of the Weeki Wachee Springs Protection Zone. In July of 2023, FWC Commissioners approved the Springs Protection Zone, which prohibits beaching, mooring, anchoring, and grounding of vessels on the spring run of the Weeki Wachee River extending from the spring boil within Weeki Wachee State Park to the Rogers Park Boat Ramp. “Together with our partners in Hernando County we are working to ensure the beauty of the Weeki Wachee River is protected and preserved for the continued enjoyment of future generations,” said Maj. Evan Laskowski, Southwest Regional Commander. “The PWCs allow our officers to patrol more efficiently within the confines of the river and spring run, and we are very appreciative of Yamaha for providing us with these valuable tools.” The Springs Protection Zone is designed to protect the ecology of the river and does not limit public access to the spring, regulating only vessel activity. Visitors are allowed to swim, snorkel, and float on a raft or tube, and encouraged to use best practices to help protect the river such as avoiding trampling vegetation, climbing on banks or trees, or discarding litter. “Yamaha WaveRunner® personal watercraft are the ideal choice for the FWC team due to their reputable reliability, shallow draft, and striking appearance,” said Leslie Zlotnick, Marketing Division Manager, Yamaha WaterCraft Group. “Yamaha is happy to protect and participate in the continuing preservation of the beauty of the Weeki Wachee River.” #yamaha #yamahamotor #fwc #florida #waverunner #conservation

Yesterday, our Georgia interns had an incredible opportunity to dive deep into Yamaha Motorsport's world during our exclusive product day at Iron Mountain Resort in Dahlonega, Georgia. On this product day, our Motorsport team guided the interns through an immersive learning experience, showcasing the features and capabilities of our Side-by-Sides. This hands-on experience allows our interns to gain valuable insights and practical knowledge about our products. The highlight of the day was a curated off-road trail ride experience, where the interns had the chance to operate our Side-by-Side firsthand. This real-world experience was both thrilling and educational, offering a unique perspective on the performance and versatility of our vehicles. To top it all off, the interns enjoyed a fireside chat with Mike Martinez, President of Yamaha Motorsport. This small group setting provided a fantastic opportunity for the interns to engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, and learn about the inner workings of the Yamaha Motorsport business unit. A Huge thank you to the Yamaha Motorsports team for their dedication and coordination in making this product day an unforgettable learning experience. Last week, our summer interns participated in our Powerful Presentations class, led by our Learning and Development Team. In this class, instructors teach how to create clear and engaging presentations and how to deliver presentations with confidence and skill to any audience.   The classes cover core presenting skills, from developing concepts to creating storyboards and delivering presentations. They emphasize tailoring messages to different audiences to ensure effective communication, which will be invaluable in their careers.   Our Powerful Presentations class exemplifies our Learning and Development department's commitment to the professional growth of our employees. Yamaha Rightwaters recently renewed its sponsorship of Bonefish & Tarpon Trust (BTT), a relationship that began in June of 2022 when Yamaha became the official outboard of BTT. With continued support from Yamaha Rightwaters, BTT will advance its international mission to conserve bonefish, tarpon, and permit species as well as their habitats. Since June of 2022, BTT has expanded its Juvenile Tarpon Habitat Initiative, leading the planning of a 1,000-plus-acre tarpon habitat restoration project in Southwest Florida. BTT also continues to advance its mission in the Florida Keys, where the organization was founded more than 25 years ago. Yamaha Rightwaters provided an outboard to power the BTT research boat used to research bonefish spawning in the region. In addition to renewing its sponsorship of BTT, Yamaha Rightwaters also  provided a Yamaha F70 outboard for “The Florida Boat Sweepstakes.” Part of BTT’s Win Back Our Water campaign, “The Florida Boat Sweepstakes” runs from May 3 to August 15, 2024. Win Back Our Water educates and encourages Floridians to take action to protect the state’s waterways and builds on BTT’s water quality priorities, most notably advocacy in support of Everglades restoration. The campaign emphasizes the importance of water quality not only for marine ecosystems but also for the many Floridians who depend on clean water for their livelihoods, recreation, and quality of life.
