Over the past several days, as we’ve worked to support Uniphore customers who have been impacted by what is being called the largest IT outage in history caused by a faulty cybersecurity software update, I have great empathy for all those who have been affected, including family and friends whose plans and critical services have been interrupted. I’ve also reflected on what we can do as an industry to be and do better. Crises, as challenging as they are, come with an immense opportunity for #growth and #learning. I’ve been working in software for nearly two decades, and one thing is for certain: software by its nature, is susceptible to all sorts of errors – human or otherwise. Knowing that there are any number of things that can go wrong with mission-critical technology, we as technology and AI developers and industry leaders need to recognize the importance of resiliency in times of #crisis. With #resiliency built into the response plan, when the next outage or large-scale disruption happens, we’ll have a quick way of recovering and minimizing the impact on people – the individuals who put their #trust in the tech industry every day. #resliency #leadership
