Each year, nearly 2,000 newly diagnosed cancer patients come to Roper St. Francis Cancer Care. We believe we have a responsibility to help reduce this number, which is why prevention is a key part of our mission. On July 19, Roper St. Francis Healthcare teammates held their second free screening event of the month at Moncks Corner Medical Plaza. During the event, the team: ▪️ Conducted 29 breast exams ▪️ Scheduled 19 screening mammograms, with 9 completed on the same day. We are proud to offer these opportunities to our Lowcountry neighbors.

After our teammate Andy Lyons faced a family emergency during a 2023 trip to Grenada, he teamed up with Ali (Allison) Swanson, PA-C, a fellow Roper St. Francis Healthcare teammate and leader for Partners 4 Global Health, to assist the country that had shown his family so much compassion. This week, they watched as a 40-foot shipping container full of donated medical supplies from Roper St. Francis Healthcare arrived on the hurricane-battered island. This timely donation and support for the community reinforced our mission of healing all people with compassion, faith, and excellence. Thank you to The Post and Courier for highlighting our selfless teammates! https://bit.ly/3xWWLDv
