We have a new ME! joining our senior management team! Gerbert Vandenberghe joins MetaverseME Ltd as our Head of Web3 Strategy. He’s been active in the software industry for almost 20 years and entered the Web3 space in 2016 where he worked on multiple projects in different roles as CPO, COO, advisor and investment director. In his most recent venture, he co-founded Venly @ GAM3DEV as COO and helped the company grow to a €110m valuation. Gerbert is hugely excited about the benefits that blockchain technology will bring to the gaming industry and will bring his profound blockchain knowledge to help Martyn Hughes and Arne Peters in reaching the next stages for MetaverseME.

MetaverseME was founded in 2021 by games industry veterans Martyn Hughes, UnitedFootball and Korner 5!, and Mark Greenshields, KickOff and NASCAR Heat mobile games series, as well as Arne Peters, long-term game industry executive with global experience in development, publishing, tech and esports. The company advisory board consists of renowned experts in games, blockchain and NFT, including Dirk Weyel former CEO of Stryking Entertainment and Alex Russman, formerly of Enjin. Hello everyone! We have been rather quiet lately, simply because we have been very busy working on both, our MetaverseME Ltd Ltd avatar app and KickOff Evolution, our 5-a-side multiplayer football (soccer) game for PC and mobile. So, we wanted to share some progress with you today: The short clip shows our new United Football home kit. The design is based on our current football game United Football (available as relaunch in the Epic Games Store), and will be a special collectible for the successor, KickOff Evolution, where players can actually wear the retro-style kits in the game. And of course they can also be used as wearables in our next update of the MetaverseME app, for creating and sharing curated videos of your digital avatar - your ME! - in AR.

Today is day 2 of PLAYCON #Malta. We'll be showing our MetaverseME Ltd app at the GamingMalta booth and discussing our plans on turning our multiplayer football game United Football into the all new KickOff Evolution.
