About us
Management Sciences for Health (MSH) works shoulder-to-shoulder with countries and communities to save lives and improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by building strong, resilient, sustainable health systems. Together, we seek to achieve universal health coverage—equitable, affordable access to high-quality health services for all who need them—even in fragile, post-crisis settings. For 50 years across 150 countries, MSH has partnered with governments, civil society, the private sector, and thousands of health workers on locally-led solutions that expand access to medicines and services, improve quality of care, help prevent and control epidemics, support inspiring leadership and transparent governance, and foster informed, empowered, and healthier communities. Today at #AIDS2024, Olga Gvozdetska, Acting Deputy Director General of the Public Health Centre of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, delivered an impassioned speech at the opening plenary, highlighting the resilience of #Ukraine's public health sector. Over the past two years, despite wartime challenges, Ukrainian doctors have acted with determination and innovation to ensure they can continue to provide quality #HIV care aligned with World Health Organization protocols. This progress would not have been possible, Minister Gvozdetska noted, without the unwavering support of NGOs, civil society, and international donors. "Notwithstanding the desolation, disruption, and destruction a deranged Russian dictator has brought to our home, we are proud to share our lessons learned and successes with the world,” Minister Gvozdetska said. “Ukraine has faced many challenges. But notwithstanding, we always keep going. Moreover, we keep growing." Join Minister Gvozdetska tomorrow at our #SatelliteSession — Accelerating #LocalLeadership of Health System Function as a Critical Pathway to #Sustainability of the HIV Response—where she will join our panel to explore HIV program sustainability from various angles, including locally-led solutions to equity, access, financing, and more.
