The Wall Street Journal featured this excellent write-up from an HVAC technician just starting his career. In it, the author explains that by pursuing the trades, it has provided a path for a good paying job — without saddling him with expensive college tuition debt. #Trades #CareersinConstruction #ConstructionJobs #HVAC https://lnkd.in/g4uYfyrg

Come visit us today at the inaugural Building Trades Day @ Notre Dame, where the South Bend Regional Chamber plans to introduce about 600 local high school students to career opportunities. Havel will be joining more than 50 employers and training partners at Notre Dame’s Stepan Center with a goal of giving students a first-hand look at construction-related jobs in the region. It will be open to students from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Then, it will be open to the public from 4-6 pm, so additional students, parents, educators and job seekers can participate. “The goal of Building Trades Day is to elevate the public perception of building trades careers and the valuable role trades people and the construction industry play in the economic growth of our region, state and country,” Chamber CEO Jeff Rea said in a news release. The American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act will reduce the supply and use of HFC refrigerants with high global warming potential. Beginning in 2024, when the latest updates go into effect, all new equipment will have prescriptive limits on HFC use, which could have major impacts on your facility. Our team is ready to help guide you through these changes and plan for the HFC phasedown. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gBvaX5UP #EMCOR #HVAC #EnvironmentalSolutions
