About us
CrowdDoing.world is a joint initiative of Match4Action Foundation and Reframe It. CrowdDoing is focused on addressing the social, economic, and environmental challenges our world faces by collaborating with professionals and volunteers from many different industries. We offer a platform for individuals to connect and collaborate toward creating systemic change. We would love for you to join the team! What makes us different? CrowdDoing aims to support social innovations with transformative impact potential through global multi-disciplinary volunteering, micro-leadership and service learning. We work through operating leverage for systems change to achieve collective agency. We orient to ikigai and self-determination theory in order to help each person have the perfect role. - What We Do (Section) CrowdDoing manages skilled volunteers, micro-leadership volunteers, multi-disciplinary volunteers and groups of service learning volunteers through a 501c3 partnership to challenges of social innovation, the social enterprise sector, and systemic change. CrowdDoing's impact venture lab leverages research and development in collaboration with volunteers to build new social innovations. The themes across all of our research is leverage for impact. We harness these learnings in support of external social enterprises. 4 Focus Areas Anti-Poverty Define: Hunger Homelessness (in hyper inequality regions like the Bay Area or NYC through zero subsidy affordable housing), Link: Well Fed Foundation, Affordable Housing, Crypto Anti Poverty, Hunger/Homelessness Mental Health & Physical Health (Medicinal foods & biophilia) Define: Physical Health (biophilia & prevention derivatives) Links: Living Plant Walls, Medicinal Foods Prevention derivatives Sustainability Define: Links: Crypto Sustainability, Prevention Derivatives Service Learning (Education) Define: future skills gaps among volunteers, service learning professional development

WE'VE WON NATURE'S LOTTERY: FREE ECOSYSTEM SERVICES! 🌍 Today, on World Nature Conservation Day, let's remember the goods and services that ecosystems provide us FOR FREE. These so-called "ecosystems services" underpin all human societies and economies. Protecting and conserving ecosystems is, therefore, essential to ensuring our communities can survive and thrive well into the future. Let's dive into the four main types of ecosystem services stated by the Ecosystem Services Framework: 1. Provision of Goods: Ecosystems provide us with essential water resources, a wealth of food for humans and animals, and renewable biomass energy. They supply wood - like timber - for construction, and ingredients for medicines, or household products. In short, our everyday essential items! 🪵 2. Cultural Services: Ecosystems provide us with green spaces like lakes and woodlands that enhance our physical and mental health. They boost our wellbeing and our desire for connection with others and the natural world. 🧘♂️ 3. Regulating Services: Ecosystems regulate our climate, purify our air and water, and support agriculture with soil fertility. Green infrastructure - like micro forests, and hedges - improve urban environments by reducing noise and heat. They give us life! 🏞️ 4. Supporting Services: Ecosystems sustain life by supporting essential processes that ensure the stability and health of all other planetary functions.
