Thrilled to have participated in Singapore’s Amgen X NSG Golden Ticket Awards 2024, celebrating the outstanding achievements of the finalists and this year's winner, @PairX Bio. In its third year, the event highlighted innovative startups pushing biotechnology's boundaries. I joined @David Epstein, @Yvonne Koh, and @Jeffrey Lu in a robust panel discussion on generative biology's transformative potential in advancing global healthcare. The Singapore Amgen Golden Ticket program is a collaborative initiative between Amgen and NSG BioLabs, aimed at supporting high-growth early biotech startups in Singapore. This year, the program saw a significant increase in applicants, doubling from the previous year, highlighting the growing interest and vibrancy of Singapore's biotech ecosystem. Amgen and NSG BioLabs have extended their partnership for another three years, underscoring their commitment to fostering innovation in Singapore's biotech sector. Additionally, NSG BioLabs is expanding its facilities with CapitaLand, establishing Southeast Asia’s largest co-working laboratory space, further bolstering the region’s biotech infrastructure. Specializing in cancer-selective biologics, PairX Bio joins past recipients like Albatroz Therapeutics and VerImmune to benefit from Amgen’s network and a year-long residency at NSG BioLabs' state-of-the-art facilities. Their passion and innovation promise groundbreaking contributions to biotech, and we eagerly anticipate their future work. Programs like Amgen's Golden Ticket not only support startups like PairX Bio, but also foster collaborations driving healthcare advancements and nurturing biotech leaders.
