Hello #coldfusion #oss fans! With many thanks to Jason Fried and 37signals I have just finished setting up a new documentation site for ColdFusion Open Source Software projects using their #Writebook software at https://lnkd.in/eQpCj-8c I will, personally, be using this to revamp the framework one #fw1 documentation for both the 4.3.2 and the new 5.x versions. I've been excited about this new documentation tool - ostensibly built for writing books - since I first heard about it from Jason a while ago - I like the format and layout of the interface for reading and for writing, and it supports markdown which makes it ideal for technical documentation. However... why keep all this book and technical documentation goodness to myself? If you have an open source CFML project that could benefit from having a free place to write documentation or even if you just want to contribute documentation to an open source project you don't own but use often, please reach out to me either in DMs or InMail (or just email me) with the details of the project and I'll send you an invite link. If you'd like to contribute to any of the open source documentation that winds up on this site, also please reach out and I'll send you an invite link. In short... you will soon find fw1 and my secure auth example documented at https://lnkd.in/eQpCj-8c and I'm hoping others in the community will publish documentation for their projects here as well. It is my hope that CfOssDocs becomes a place for all CFML open source software authors to document their projects, so please help spread the word! Thanks again to the incredible work by the 37signals folks for making this possible - I appreciate all the hard work that went into it.

Earlier today I published “Mastering The Art of Negotiation” on Jason Fried's 37signals new Writebook platform. It’s simple software that allows you to publish your book online. Over the July 4th holiday, you can improve your negotiation skills with the tips I share (the book's free) https://mitchjackson.xyz and you can learn more about the new Writebook service here https://once.com/writebook Enjoy!
