What do you do if you need to harness new technology to manage and analyze big data in environmental design?

Power + ease: Find a balance between complex analysis and user-friendliness. Cloud might be your friend: Cloud storage and processing for massive datasets. AI and ML/DL: Automate tasks, find hidden patterns in your data. Real-time analysis: React to environmental changes as they happen. Data visualization: Make complex data easy to understand for all. Collaboration is key: Share and combine data with other environmental projects.

Not necessarily. Often a re-imagining of common tools can result in novels ways to examine environmental data. I will be giving a talk to an upcoming conference about using the flow duration curve (developed in 1880) to display streamflow data in an entirely new way. I call this new approach the "enhanced flow duration curve". No new tools, just a different way of looking at streamflow.
