I see feedback is just like a gift—an invaluable resource that offers insights and perspectives we might otherwise overlook. Actively seeking and embracing feedback can significantly enhance both personal and professional growth.

It can be difficult to receive feedback, and quality feedback is even more challenging to come by. It's important to find someone you trust and who has your best interests in mind and ask for their input. You can also create your own set of questions, similar to a 360 review, and ask your work team to provide honest feedback. I've done this and gained valuable insights that I used to continue my personal and professional growth. I'm always looking to adjust and improve my style to be as effective as possible!

Showing up and demonstrating initiative is a powerful way to show your organisation that you are committed to personal/professional growth and the company's success. Build relationships with colleagues from different departments to gain a broader understanding and identify areas where you can contribute. Consistently deliver high-quality work on time and take responsibility for your actions and outcomes.

Take Initiative Courageously: Step up and tackle challenging tasks with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. From my experience, when faced with onlookers questioning your actions, take time to identify the "influencers." Engage them, offering opportunities to participate. Once they're on board, organic engagement with others tends to follow suit.

We all have gifts and specific skills where we shine. Be astute and "flex" at the right time. When talking about past roles, emphasize the range of skills you've gained rather than just listing tasks. Highlight situations where you had to learn something new or adjust your approach to tackle diverse challenges. This demonstrates not only your versatility in theory but also your practical experience in adapting your skills to different scenarios.
