The Fastest and Best Motorcycles in GTA Online in 2024

Wondering which motorcycle to choose in GTA Online? We're ranking the top performers, including the exclusive HSW-tuned Hakuchou Drag.

Just like the fastest cars in GTA Online, there is also a massive range of motorcycles in GTA 5’s multiplayer component. So much so that it can be overwhelming to decide which bike to go for, especially if you’re looking for the fastest.

So, to help out with your decision making, here’s a list of the fastest motorbikes in GTA Online. We understand that top speeds don’t always correlate with lap times though, and so have provided both for you!

Another significant factor influencing the top speeds of newer vehicles introduced in next-generation consoles is Hao’s Special Works (HSW) tuning. This feature is exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and enables vehicles to surpass the standard upper-performance threshold by a considerable margin.

Although HSW tuning is widely applicable to cars and other vehicle types, its impact is less significant within the motorcycle class. Only one motorbike can be tuned through HSW, and we’ll include it in this list. So, we’re expanding the ranking to a top eleven for both top speeds and lap times. This ensures that both players with and without access to HSW can make informed decisions when selecting a motorcycle to purchase.

Fastest Motorcycles (Top Speed)

The following list ranks GTA Online motorcycles from fastest to slowest, including the HSW tuned motorcycle, which is exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Western Reever

The design of the Western Reever draws inspiration primarily from the ARCH Method 143, incorporating design elements from the ARCH Nazaré. When fully upgraded, the Western Reever can achieve a top speed of 163 mph (262.32 km/h). Fortunately, this vehicle is accessible to players both with and without access to HSW tuning, making it the fastest motorcycle available regardless of platform.

Western Reever.

The Western Reever is a rear-wheel drive (RWD) and is available for purchase from Legendary Motorsport for $1,900,000 and was added as part of the Contract DLC.

Shitzu Hakuchou Drag (HSW)

The Shitzu Hakuchou Drag stands out as the sole HSW motorcycle on the list, capable of achieving a top speed of 157.50 mph (253.47 km/h) with the upgrades from HSW. Despite its introduction in the Bikers update of 2016, HSW modifications have significantly helped elevate its ranking. This motorcycle is based on Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa.

Shitzu Hakuchou Drag (HSW).

The Shitzu Hakchou Drag is a RWD and you can purchase the base version for $976,000 from Legendary Motorsport, then upgrade it using HSW for another $1,450,000.

The Deathbike is an RWD and can be purchased exclusively from the Arena Workshop for $1,269,000.

Pegassi Oppressor

The Pegassi Oppressor draws its design cues primarily from the modified Honda XR 500 motorbike featured in Street Hawk, incorporating subtle design elements from the ENV. It reach reach a top speed of 140 mph (225.31 km/h).

The Pegassi Oppressor was added as part of the Gunrunning DLC, it’s RWD, and it can be purchased from Warstock Cache & Carry for $2,750,000.

Maibatsu Manchez Scout

The Maibatsu Manchez Scout was added as part of the Cayo Perico Heist DLC. The design of the Maibatsu Manchez Scout appears to be influenced by the Armstrong MT500, with some styling cues borrowed from the Kawasaki KLR250.

It can reach a top speed of 139.75 mph (224.91 km/h). The Manchez Scout can be purchased from Warstock Cache & Carry for just $225,000, which is great value for money if you’re looking to purchase a fast bike without breaking the bank.

Maibatsu Manchez Scout (Delivery)

This variant of the Maibatsu Manchez Scout was introduced with the Los Santos Drug Wars update. It serves as a delivery vehicle during missions and cannot be directly purchased. Instead, you need to acquire the MTL Brickade 6×6 for $1,450,000 from Warstock Cache & Carry.

Maibatsu Manchez Scout (Delivery), also known as, Manchez Scout C.

It can reach a top speed of 137.75 mph (221.69 km/h).

Nagasaki BF400

The Nagasaki BF400 is inspired by the real-life Suzuki Bandit. It made its debut in GTA Online with the Cunning Stunts update. It can reach a top speed of 136.99 mph (220.48 km/h).

Pegassi Bati 801(RR)

The Bati 801 is inspired by the real life Ducati 848 with hints of tail design taken from Ducati Desmosedici RR. The Bati 801 was included as part of GTA Online’s initial release and is still one of the fastest bikes in the game, plus a fan favorite.

Pegassi Bati 801(RR).

It can reach a top speed of 135 mph (217.26 km/h) and can be purchased for $15,000 from the Southern San Andreas Super Autos store. You also have a chance of winning it as a prize from the Diamond Casino Resort’s Lucky Wheel.

Note that the Bati 801RR is just a sportier variant of this motorcycle, but has the same top speed.

Shitzu Hakuchou

The Shitzu Hakuchou, not to be confused with the Shitzu Hakuchou Drag version, was introduced as part of the Last Team Standing update. It can reach a top speed of 134 mph (215.65 km/h).

Shitzu Hakuchou.

The Hakuchou is inspired by the 2008 version of the Suzuki Hayabusa with the headlights taking some elements from the classic Super Blackbird.

You could have purchased the Hakuchou for $82,000 from the Southern San Andreas Super Autos store. However, it has been removed since the release of the San Andreas Mercenaries update.

Western Powersurge

The Western Powersurge is an electric sports bike based on the real-life 2019 Harley-Davidson LiveWire. It was added during the Powersurge Week event as part of the Los Santos Drug Wars update.

Western Powersurge.

This electric bike can reach a top speed of 130 mph (209.21 km/h). You can purchase the Western Powersurge from the Legendary Motorsport for $1,605,000.

Pegassi Ruffian

The Pegassi Oppressor Mark II would typically come in at number 11 in this list (number 10 if you omit the HSW bike), however it is technically more of a flying vehicle than a traditional motorcycle suitable for land-based riding – so we’re just giving it an honorable mention. Instead, taking the actual number 11 spot in our list is the Pegassi Ruffian motorbike.

Pegassi Ruffian.

The Pegassi Ruffian’s design is inspired by the real-life Ducati Monster. The Ruffian can reach a top speed of 127 mph (204.39 km/h).

You have purchased the Pegassi Ruffian for $9,000 from the Southern San Andreas Super Autos – unfortunately, though, it is no longer available since the San Andreas Mercenaries update.

Fastest Motorcycles (Lap Times)

A motorcycle’s ability to achieve maximum speed in a straight line may not necessarily translate to being faster in races, where lap times are a much better metric for evaluating performance.

In this list we’ve ranked the motorcycles from the fastest lap times to the slowest. Like the list above, we’ve provided eleven bikes as one of them is a HSW variant, coming in at number 2 on the list.

  1. Pegassi Oppressor: 0m:51.953s
  2. Shitzu Hakuchou Drag (HSW): 0m:52.736s

Best Motorcycle in GTA Online

In GTA Online, there isn’t a single definitive motorcycle that suits all purposes. Your choice should depend on your intended use. For high-speed racing, consider the Pegassi Oppressor or the Shitzu Hakuchou Drag HSW version (for players with the Expanded and Enhanced Edition).

If you just want a fast vehicle that will reach the highest possible speed and be able to zoom through the streets of Los Santos, then you should go with the Western Reever as it is the fastest bike in the game.

For a balance between speed and affordability, the Pegassi Bati 801 is a solid choice, and since it is so much cheaper, it also makes for a great early game motorcycle.

As always, special thanks go to Broughy1322 for testing the bikes.
