I'm surprised I've managed this many, and so far only a few have been real disappointments:) Have you read any of Gillian Flynn's books? I was a bit let down by them, I have to say.

Thanks :) I haven't read any Gillian Flynn yet. I'm quite keen to read Gone Girl so once I do I'll let you know what I think. What was disappointing about her books that you've read?

I think I just had pretty high expectations because it was so hyped up and celebrated. GONE GIRL was okay and definitely the one I would recommend, but SHARP OBJECTS was a real struggle for me to get through. I just hated the plot, the setting, the characters, it was 100% bleak and awful and there was nothing to redeem it. That sounds so harsh, but I was just disappointed, I suppose;-)
