One very vivid portrait of living modern life as a Native American. That a namesake could be passed on and on to a different character, in essence, to have the name indicate the hero and not the other way around: we have at least two main characters that are the same all because they (older woman, younger boy) are ONE. I've read at least three Erdrich novels in the last year. She has SO MUCH to say! ...more
