Well this didn't go as I expected...
I love post-apocalyptic books. When I learned after watching the movie that there was a book I couldn't wait to read it! Turns out I was bored and had to skim through the last part...
Love the story but hated the format with the "interviews".

Sorry you didn't enjoy this book like you were hoping Emily. Hopefully the next book you read will love better.
Yay - unpopular opinion! This is exactly how I feel. I've been dragging my way through it for weeks, so bored! Every few pages there is a new story with new characters to get to know, a new story to get into. It's like a short story compilation but worse because each story is basically saying the same thing - zombies came, people died, we ran away, fought for our lives and somehow survived. I'm not sure why it's so popular... don't get me wrong, some of it's interesting and some of the stories, I'm like tell me more! But then 2 pages later, we're already reading about someone else...
I've had the book for a long time and finally decided to give it a read. I knew that it was going to be different from the movie(which I really enjoyed), but can't get into it. I enjoyed the first story about patient zero, and thought I would like it, but as I'm reading more of the interviews I'm just finding it dull. Don't think I'll be continuing with this one.
