World War Z Review
The book itself is phenomenal, and what makes it phenomenal is its ability to make a situation feel believable. The book truly projects fear into the reader, Max Brooks did a great job illustrating the surroundings of the characters featured in the novel. The situation that really sticks out in my mind would be Ch.7 Pt.4 Kondo Tatsumi, being the Otaku he was, didn’t really get out much. He did all of his learning on the computer, conversing with others from his own community and around the world . The reason for this being the prominent event in my mind is due to the boys lifestyle, he lived with his parents but didn’t really interact with them, and when they were gone he just broke down. The boy couldn’t control himself, from panic attacks to compulsive vomiting, it indefinitely projected fear, or really the essence of fear. It really makes you believe, it gives you that gut feeling. If you're open minded, you can easily play forth the scenes in your mind. This book is a great example of imagery and illustration.
