This book speaks about how the geography of a nation defined its history, continues to define its present and will influence the future too. We also learn how the geography of a country has a major say in its economic and political standing in the world.

I enjoyed reading this book. The initial chapters were extremely engaging, but the engagement sort of waned as the narrative became a little dry in the later chapters. Nonetheless, it is a very informative book. There is enough information to provide the reader with a general understanding but is not an elaborate history. It also succeeds in building enough curiosity in you to explore more, which is a huge plus in itself.
