I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Brooks really surprised me with how good a job he did of explaining this apocalyptic event. My only regret is that there was not more to read about. Very entertaining and informative for a make believe world, thankfully. The most intersting thing did occur as I delved into the world of zombie infestation. I found myself contemplating is this building safe? How would I get my family all together and keep them safe. Do I have enough ammo and what would be the best route to my cabin...... then is my cabin safe enough... Holy paranoia and probable waste of mental thought on a fictional apocalyptic story. I wonder if its something deep in our primitive survival part of the brain that causes the head to react and think after reading or being told of a threat... fictional or not.
