"Um. Wow. Maybe it's just me but this beats the pants off of Blood Red Road. What an adventure! Sure, this book has a few things that bugged me but I still enjoyed the experience. Looking for a good YA dystopian/zombie book? Add Ashes to your TBR pile."

"Second read-through. I purchased a copy of the audiobook (the first time was with netgalley). As I'm reading this I'm remembering the issues I had with it, also I'm noticing things I didn't notice the first time through, like the major foreshadowing that goes down in the first chapter. Anyway, not sure if I'm going to like it as much. That said, I still like this story more then Blood Red Road."
