Caz Hi Kat, I really enjoy and trust ur recommendations-always check them before choosing my next series!

I'm loving this series. I'm half way through the last book. And realised that the song "Touch back down" by Catherine Feeny is PERFECT theme song. So wanted to recommend it in gratitude for all your wonderful reviews!!!

I can't believe how wonderfully the song manages to depict the lies and desire for closeness and knowledge they have of one another, whilst at the same time how far apart they are and are drifting. It describes how Arin feels when he's desperate to reconnect with Kestrel, and the song is so haunting, and just beautiful that it just fits like it was written fir the book. I hope you like it!!

The song on the link starts at about 0.40 secs -she waffles before hand. https://youtu.be/JuQTvZAIKCg
Youtube has better vids but no longer available to UK folks. :(

Lyrics
You can't tell the truth, not even to yourself.
It hurts too much to admit that it's in there.
You can lie and dissemble with anyone else.
But I know you like I know myself.

Chorus
Touch back down will you.
Put your feet on the ground
And stay here with me.
Touch back down will you.
Let me look at you.
As yourself.
Touch back down.

I would love to hold you.
I cannot get near you.
I would love to show you.

But you are shuffling sideways.
You think I don't notice.
That you're slipping away.

Chorus (touch back down...)

I have got to learn nit to go choosing the ones who don't choose me
Cos' I am always picking the fruit that furthest on the tree.
It's sweetest to me.

Chorus.
