They still believe their imaginary worlds (with Satan, witches, "free" market, "democracy", and libertarianism) more than the reality. So stuck in their VRs that even didn't noticed they had created the NeoCommunism. For the rich that is.
In 1940-1950, young people counterculture formed in the Soviet Union ("stilyagi"), they were tolerated by an upper-middle class, but not by the politicians and were mocked in the media as being ridiculous.
U.S.A.!, on the other hand, uses this strategy way up to 21st century. Therefore it is a Communist country. Except that it is a Communism for old rich anti-hipsters. As an example.
Damn naive id*ots talking about "freedom", when real people are rotting in prisons for nothing....more

Book's author is even more fascist, not seeing the real problems behind the inequality, than Henry Ford was (see below). Author blames blacks and Hispanics for not earning enough, when 1/2 of America, majority white, are earning less than 30k/year. Unbelievable. And, it doesn't matter what contributes to inequality score, because higher inequality will lead to less trust in gov. institutions anyway, because it shows that gov. doesn't fulfill its main objective - to protect most vulnerable groups. If gov. doesn't fulfill its function, then you don't have democracy, you have feudal society where such authors make "analysis" of what they don't have a clue.
When, Henry Ford, on other hand:
"Our country is rapidly becoming less a capitalist society and more a feudal society. Unless our policies change dramatically, the middle class will disappear, and we will be back to late 18th-century France. Before the revolution.
The model for us rich guys here should be Henry Ford, who realized that all his autoworkers in Michigan weren’t only cheap labor to be exploited; they were consumers, too. Ford figured that if he raised their wages, to a then-exorbitant $5 a day, they’d be able to afford his Model Ts.
What a great idea. My suggestion to you is: Let’s do it all over again. We’ve got to try something. These idiotic trickle-down policies are destroying my customer base. And yours too." Pitchforks are coming for us plutocrats...more

Interesting what would happen in U.S. after the next stock market crash that will ruin their idiotic economy and expansionism even further.
"Let me say it again. Just five percent less of a labour share in GDP has destabilized the whole world. Go ahead and be alarmed. The only ones that could save us were us…but we turned out to be the fascists, authoritarians, monsters, and dunces we were always afraid of, too. If you’re not alarmed by the world today…you’re not thinking at all.": Are the 2020s Going to be the Beginning of the End of (an Era of) Human Civilization?...more

Well, despite smear campaigns on both sides, let's see the real actions from Trump: 1) tax cuts for top earners, 2) pulling out from of the Paris climate accord, other environment damaging laws, 3) trade war costs 300,000 jobs (Moody's Analytics), etc, etc.
So, ok, I agree with this book, but when you focus only on fake news, you miss real data (i.e. stats, numbers,...), which wasn't addressed here at all, when having some of pro-Trump bias (IMHO)....more

I probably can sDespite some (unverified by author) nonsense, which fits well in the thesis (world should not trust Washington), this is strong book. I probably can summarize it with a quote:
"Anyone watching American TV is a brainwashed idiot, and, therefore, - dangerous to the world."
American marketing is strong and those brainwashed idiots are everywhere, not just in U.S.
They wander around and shout everyone, for example, "you don't know science, check the facts".
This example is particularly funny to me, because after talking to countless of them, I derived the hypothesis, that words of such idiots (usually, from America) are usually based on Youtube, and they actually know nothing about scientific method or principles or even how scientific papers look. After stating fact they usually change their minds, well, because they always change their reactive minds depending on what shit they encounter. It happens to them that they find no of legitimate information, because it is too hard for them.
They are dangerous, because they elect imperial presidents (which are just puppets of hidden forces) that influence the whole fucking world, which is already fucked up by them.
When you idiots instead of going on FB, start reading non fiction books or do fuck knows what to recall what you learn in a high school. And if you're from some damn university - when you start question your own beliefs and hypotheses to find truly working (fitting to real world tests) versions....more
