WB Interactive Put Up for Sale; Possible Buyers Include Take-Two and EA

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment may soon find itself in the hands of a new owner. According to CNBC, AT&T, which owns the company, plans to sell it for 4 billion dollars. Among potential buyers we have Take-Two, Electronic Arts and Activision Blizzard.

Batman may change owners.

Since 2018, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment remaied the property of AT&T. However, this may change soon. According to CNBC, due to a debt of up to $200 billion, the American telecommunications company is looking for buyers for its video games division. The company's price is expected to be $4 billion, and many industry giants, including Take-Two, EA and Activision Blizzard, are among entities interested in buying this asset.

According to reports, a potential buyer of Warner Bros. Interactive will also take over the devteams under its control, including Avalanche Software, Rocksteady Studios and NetherRealm. The company's brands, such as LEGO, Harry Potter and Batman, remain problematic, as they are linked to Warner Bros' IP. This means that a potential contract could include a provision for the use of the IPs, including the sharing of profits between AT&T and the buyer.

Currently, as none of the parties have commented on the matter, it remains to await further developments.
