Steam Launch of Guild Wars 2 Delayed

Contrary to earlier announcements, Guild Wars 2 will not make its debut on Steam this fall, but in unspecified future. This is due to the fact that the team at ArenaNet was mainly focused on polishing the upcoming expansions for the game.

A few months ago, ArenaNet representatives announced that Guild Wars 2, a very warmly received MMORPG that was originally released in 2012, together with Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire expensions, will finally appear on Steam in November. Unfortunately, reality has thwarted these plans. As we read in a recent official statement, it was necessary to delay the release of the title on Valve's platform for an indefinite time.

Why such decision? Well, ArenaNet employees decided to focus all their attention on fine-tuning the novelties scheduled for Guild Wars 2. We are talking about the End of Dragons expansion, which will enable the players to get to know the island people of Cantha, isolated from the rest of the world for the last 200 years, and the grand finale of The Icebrood Saga. The first trailer of the latter will debut online this Thursday, November 5.

We would like to remind that Guild Wars 2 is available exclusively on PC.
