There are only 18 days left until the premiere of Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. Developers from the A44 studio announced that the game has achieved gold status, so the release date shouldn't change. The devs also shared a 22-minute gameplay recording and provided the PC system requirements.

Let's remind that Flintlock is an action RPG with an open world, which draws inspiration from the soulslike subgenre, although the devs themselves describe it as "soulslite." The title isn't meant to punish players as much as FromSoftware games, and they will be able to choose one of the three available difficulty levels.

According to the description, the latest material comes from a later stage of the game, so we can see what the gameplay looks like when our character becomes a bit more powerful. Its description adds a bit of context to the whole thing:

This shows the gameplay and quests that take you through the majestic City of Sybil. The current seat of Dukmar's power, Sibyl was once one of the most powerful city-states in the world, the seat of learning and commerce alike. The dethroning of its king allowed for its borders to finally be opened to outsiders and its Library and Eternal Archive were considered among the greatest marvels of the world, until Dukmar and his legion shut the doors.

Unfortunately, problems with maintaining smoothness are immediately visible, which is also pointed out by players in the comments. Hopefully, the game developers will work on optimizing it before the release, even though the exact date of the recording is unknown.

Finally, it's worth checking out the system requirements for Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn on PC. The game will also be available on PS5 and XSX/S.
