We often don’t pay any attention to basic things unless they are gone. This sounds very philosophical yet reflects well the recent situation in Wuthering Waves. Yes, sounds… that’s what many players has found lacking in this title just recently. This unfortunately adds up to a pile of issues that fans had to put up with already like lags, long loading times, intermittent downloading, fatal errors, and others. However, let’s focus on the latest shortcomings of this production related to audio and find any workarounds if possible.

Sound problems in WuWa explained

It is amazing how different a game feels without any sound in the background. We do not realise what role it plays until it’s gone. This is what fans have started reporting in bigger numbers recently for Wuthering Waves.

Many players assume that this is connected to the recent hotfix released on 27th May 2024, and to some extend it may be true, as more and more people report no music issue after the patch. However, there are examples of others who suggest that they have experienced audio problems for way longer. In fact, there are several types of sound issues that fans are facing.

One of them makes voiceover during cutscenes almost inaudible, while music and other effects during combat are not affected. Another inconvenience that players are experiencing is complete lack of music, leaving only the SFX and character quips during combat. This often happens when the song ends and doesn’t loop or load another one.

There is a potential workaround for Windows users, yet it isn’t always successful. It is worth a try, nonetheless. Fans on reddit have noticed that disabling spatial sound helps in some cases. To get there, open sound menu, select your device, then click “Properties” button and go to “Spatial sound” tab. Use “Off” option from the drop-down list and close all the windows by clicking “OK”, saving the changes.

Again, it does not always work, and the only other option is to wait for future updates from Kuro Game. Hopefully, they will address this and many other issues allowing us to interact with great characters like Jinhsi or Changli. You may also want to check out the tier list that we have prepared. If your rolled companion that doesn’t suit you, there is something you can do about it, too. Good luck!
