New Alone in the Dark With Demo and Stranger Things Star

THQ Nordic has released a demo of the new Alone in the Dark and released extensive video footage from the survival horror game.

This year stands with the return of classic survival horror games. Dead Space i Resident Evil 4 have already debuted on the market, and now we can finally take a closer look at the new Alone in the Dark, a reboot of a brand considered one of the foundations of the genre.

  1. THQ Nordic, which is the publisher of the game, organized a presentation of Alone In The Dark. As part of it, an 11-minute video with gameplay footage was shown, available below.
  2. It was also revealed that the pair of main characters will be played by well-known actors David Harbour (Stranger Things and Black Widow) and Jodie Comer (Killing Eve and Free Guy).
  3. At the beginning of the game, we will choose one of these characters and each of them will enable us to experience the story from a different perspective with unique events.

The game will be released on October 25, this year on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5.

The game's storyline is the responsibility of Mikael Hedberg, i.e. the author of the scripts for SOMA and the Amnesia series.

Alone in the Dark demo

You don't have to wait until October to play the new Alone in the Dark. For the developers have released a demo in the form of a prologue.

  1. Alone in the Dark Prologue on Steam
  2. Alone in the Dark Prologue on PlayStation Store
  3. Alone in the Dark Prologue on Microsoft Store

Interestingly, the demo is not a fragment of the game, but a separate short story. In the prologue, we play as an 11-year-old girl named Grace, who is tasked with delivering a letter to a gloomy mansion.

By releasing this prologue, the devs returned to the tradition of the series - a similar demo, in the form of 1993's Jack in the Dark, advertised the second installment. There, too, we controlled a girl named Grace, but the plot was different - it revolved around a mysterious toy store.
