There is a lot happening in Dark and Darker recently. The game was reintroduced on Steam after some legal problems, but it is not all, as the title is constantly being developed. Not so long ago a big update was released, one of the novelties was a Lantern Shield. This weapon can shine and has a hidden blade. Using these features is not so easy, though, and many players have problems with it. We will help you.

How to Use a Lantern Shield in Dark and Darker

One of the new items in Dark and Darker is a Lantern Shield. This interesting weapon can be bought from Weaponsmith or found on bodies of some unfortunate explorers. This shield can shine in the darkness and has a hidden blade. Sadly, these features are not so obvious to use.

How to light a Lantern Shield

Descending into dungeons of Dark and Darker, you have to be prepared that you will find some dark places. In these spots a bright Lantern Shield can be quite helpful. To light it all you have to do is to press R on your keyboard.

How to use a Lantern Shield Blade

Properly using a blade is more complex than lighting the shield, but it is doable. First of all, you have to block an incoming attack. It itself can be difficult, but it is not all. After doing that, you have a small window of opportunity to press block once again (right mouse button). If you do it quickly enough, you will be able to counter.

If you want to learn more about the game, it is a good idea to visit an official Discord channel.
