Remember the game MultiVersus, where you could fight other players via heroes from different universes, such as Superman or the Joker? The game went offline on June 25th, 2023 after almost a year of open beta. The title, however, returned on May 28th, 2024, and with it came a number of interesting changes. One of them is the mechanics of parrying the opponent's blows. If you want to learn how to perform this high-risk-high reward move, please read our guide!

MultiVersus – How to Parry

The mechanic of parrying the attacks of enemies was added with the official release of MultiVersus. It is a tool that allows you to get out of the oppression imposed by the enemy. Skillful use of this move can guarantee you many wins. Thanks to it you can not only avoid the opponent's hits, but also stun them for a short moment.

To perform this move, the main thing you need to do is press the button responsible for dodging in a neutral position (that is, one in which your character does not require any other button while performing the dodge). It can be executed both while on the platform and in the air. You can parry normal and special attacks, even projectiles (but in this case you will not stun your opponent).

The second important point is timing. More often than not, you will have to make a neutral dodge at the moment your opponent makes their attack. If you do it too early or too late, when the attack has already been executed for a short while, you will receive damage. The move itself is very helpful and mastering it will make battles easier for you. However, using it incorrectly will leave you open to enemy strikes.

It is worth testing this mechanic in training mode at the very beginning, setting the bot's behavior to an attack action. After some time, parrying should become natural for you.
