Both Sony and Microsoft keep bending backwards to advertise their new gaming hardware. In October, for example, the Japanese company claimed that the launch of PlayStation 5 would be like the conquest of space. The team from Redmond decided to go in a slightly different direction and decided to present Xbox Series X as a platform that would power one's dreams. Here's Lucid Odyssey.
The above film was directed by Taika Waititi (a New Zealand-born filmmaker, responsible for Thor: Ragnarok, What We Do in the Shadows or the Oscar-winning Jojo Rabbit) and starring MoonLiteWolf - YouTuber and streamer. In order to make her dreams inspired by the experience of contact with video games available on Xbox Series X, she used a method called Targeted Dream Incubation (TDI). As we read in the description of the film, she entered a state called Hypnagogia, which on the one hand enables us to dream and on the other to maintain a certain level of awareness. Then, her thoughts were retained on Microsoft's console and she was asked to describe what she saw. Her descriptions were reproduced on the film.
Xbox Series X is available since November 10, this year.
