Dark and Darker is a popular game, and regardless its legal problems, the title attracted thousands of people. However, many fans would like to play it on their consoles. For now it is impossible. Will it be, though? We have answers!

Dark and Darker – Console (PS4, PS5, Xbox, Switch) Release Explained

There are thousands of people who play Dark and Darker every minute. At the time of writing this article, SteamDB shows that on Steam alone (the game was for a long time available only outside of this platform) there are over 19 000 concurrent players. However, there could be more if the game was released on consoles. Will it be, though? It seems that yes, at some point Dark and Darker will be ported. However, we should not expect it soon.

While on the official Discord channel developers do not share their plans to port the game, they inform about it on their X (previous Twitter) account. The last time when they did so was on 8th February 2023, so it is not the newest announcement, but we should assume that nothing happened new regarding this plan.

Moreover, we may be even more sure that developers from Ironmace want to publish their game on as many platforms as possible after the announcement of Dark and Darker Mobile. Taking this into consideration, the console’s version may be closer than we think. However, don’t expect it this year.

Of course, it is also too early to say on which platforms the title will be released. We may assume that PS5 and Xbox Series X and S are sure bet. However, we need to wait for official announcement to see if the game will be available on other devices.
