Civilization 7 on 2K Games' Website. Big Surprise Ahead of Summer Game Fest

A Civilization VII banner appeared on the official website of publisher 2K Games. The game will most likely be presented during Summer Game Fest.

All signs in the sky indicate that we will receive a trailer for the continuation of the iconic Civilization at the upcoming Summer Game Fest 2024. Insider-Gaming reported this, also noting that a banner for the seventh installment appeared on the official 2K Games website (visible under the title of this news), along with a link to the trailer and the option to add the game to the wishlist, most likely on Steam.

We have known for a long time that Sid Meier's Civilization VII is in development, but this is basically the only information about this game. In May, 2K Games announced that "the next installment of one of the largest and most beloved franchises" will be presented during this year's Summer Game Fest. The rumors from yesterday suggested that it might be Borderlands 4, but it seems they have just been debunked (or we might see both Civ7 and Borderlands 4).

The previous installment of the series was released in 2016. Until now, the game has received two major expansions and a considerable amount of smaller DLCs. In the same year, it was also reported that the entire series of games sold 33 million copies. At this moment, this number is certainly much larger.

Summer Game Fest 2024 starts today, i.e. June 7th, at 2:00 PT. You will be able to watch the stream on Twitch and YouTube services.
