Update

Closed beta of mobile Assassin's Creed: Jade has launched on Android and iOS, as announced by Ubisoft on, among others, its social media. Those who did not get access can still register and hope to join the fun at a later date. We provide more details in the original text.

By the way, it is worth noting that a long gameplay video has leaked online - an hour and a half of gameplay can be found on Insider-Gaming. Also ongoing is an unofficial stream from the game.

Original news

We first heard about the mobile game Assassin's Creed: Jade in 2022. Since then, Ubisoft has presented the game rather scarcily. However, players interested in the mobile installment of the series will have the opportunity to test it soon on the occasion of the just announced closed beta.

Beta in selected regions

As we read in the official description of the event, the closed tests will begin on August 3 and will last until August 11.. The whole thing is to be preceded by several stages of signups - the condition for taking part in the beta is a registration on the game's official website and filling out a form distributed to players via e-mail. The deadline for submitting applications will be July 27.

Players who manage to gain access will be given the opportunity to download the game on August 1, two days before the start of testing.

A separate condition will also be the possession of a compatible device. Beta of Codename Jade requires at least a Snapdragon 865 and a system no older than Android 10. On the other hand, iOS owners will be able to play the game on iPhones 11 and newer. A full list of compatible devices can be found here.

Quite confusing, however, turns out to be the restriction on regions. As we read on the official site:

"[...] The closed beta will start with a limited number of Android and iOS players in North America and Western Europe. [...] Servers will be located in North America and Western Europe, and eligible players will be able to choose the server that best suits their network connection."

Unfortunately, the lack of a precise list of countries and unclear rules only allow speculation as to which players specifically will have a chance to participate in the beta.

Finally, it's worth mentioning that the number of places in the beta has been limited to 5,000.Those interested in mobile Assassin's Creed should therefore register their desire to participate as soon as possible.

Assassin's Creed: Jade still has no confirmed release date. However, we know that the game is to be distributed in free-to-play model.
