Anno 117 Pax Romana was announced during Ubisoft Forward 2024. While it is definitely good information, some fans are worried. Many people have noticed that the game will not be available on Steam. Taking into consideration recent games from Ubisoft, we should not be surprised.

Missing Anno 117 Pax Romana from Steam is not a surprise

While in the perfect world all games would end up on all platforms, we don’t live in such. Many games are released only on selected shops/devices. The situation is similar with Ubisoft titles, which are not published on Steam on release. We have many examples of this – Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or Far Cry 6.

It seems that Anno 117 Pax Romana will continue this tradition, as at the end of the official trailer we can see platforms on which the game will be released, and Steam is not there. The game will be available on Xbox Series X and S, PS5, Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.

Will Anno 117 Pax Romana be available on Steam?

We can’t give you a definite answer, but probably yes, it will take some time, though. AC Valhalla was released on Valve platform, but we had to wait for it almost 2 years (11.2020 vs 12.2022). Similar situation was in the case of Far Cry 6 (10.2021 vs 5.2023). Main Ubisoft franchises are published on Steam with a delay. Moreover, the last game from the series – Anno 1800 – was also released on Valve platform. So, there is hope. However, we will need to wait for the official announcement.
