Fortnite Festival is an additional mode to Fortnite, and a rhythm game. It was developed by Harmonix, known for such games as Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

Mechanics

Gameplay-wise, Fortnite Festival doesn't differ much from Harmonix's previous games. Players must press buttons to the rhythm of the music, according to blocks flying through the timeline. By doing so, we play the guitar, keytar, drums, bass and recreate the vocals. The game features licensed music and entirely original tracks.

The closer we keep to the rhythm, the higher score we'll achieve. As we progress, we unlock new instruments and auras (which surround our characters as they perform on the main stage).

Game modes

Fortnite Festival supports singleplayer and multiplayer for up to four people. On the Main Stage we must be accurate, while on the Jam Stage we can freely mix songs together, creating unique works. Players can decide which instrument they'll pick up and which difficulty they'll play at.

Technical aspects

Fortnite Festival runs on the Unreal Engine 5. The graphics are colorful and cartoonish.
