Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is a stealth game enriched with elements taken from adventure and strategy titles. The game is the debut work of River End Games - a Swedish studio from Gothenburg, founded by developers whose portfolio includes such series as Battlefield, Little Nightmares, Unravel and Mirror's Edge.

Plot

The action of Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream takes place in the titular Eriksholm, inspired by Scandinavian cities and Nordic aesthetics from the early 20th century. The game tells the story of three characters connected by the necessity to confront their persecutors, who get entangled in a plot that could shake the entire metropolis to its foundations. One of them is Hanna trying to find her missing brother.

Gameplay

In Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream we watch the action in an isometric view. The game allows us to freely switch between characters. This is important, because each of them has its own set of abilities and preferred weapons and tools. By making good use of their abilities, we can not only solve puzzles standing in our way and reach new locations, but also deal with opponents.

While traversing the streets and gloomy dungeons of Eriksholm, stealth is paramount. Our adversaries often have an advantage over us (even if only in numbers), so we must conduct reconnaissance (it's worth not only looking out for enemies, but also eavesdropping on their conversations as a source of valuable information), avoid direct confrontations, hide in the shadows and behind cover, as well as sneak up behind enemies and eliminate them by surprise.
