The focus on TV soap operas has given way to an incredible tale of alleged intrigue, deceit and
frame-ups, lighting up the dark recesses of corruption in the police, the judiciary and public administration.
The overall story is both inspiring and distressing: inspiring in showing the people's capacity to run their own communities without rulers and distressing in the measures taken by rulers - including arrests,
frame-ups, beatings and shootings - to repress the movement.
