Arvid Lindblad became the first driver to claim all race victories in a single Formula 3 weekend after he rose from the back of the field to win a dramatic wet-dry Feature Race at Silverstone.

There was drama before the lights went out as rain started to fall prior to the formation lap. This forced most drivers to switch to the full wet tyres, with only Rodin Motorsport’s Piotr Wisnicki and Callum Voisin choosing to stay on slicks.

Their decision to stick with the hards proved to be an inspired one as the rain stopped and the track dried out, prompting many, including Lindblad and his PREMA Racing team mate Gabriele Minì, to join them on the slicks at the end of the formation lap.

However, pole-sitter Luke Browning chose to stay on his wet tyres, and he struggled early on as Voisin flew past him to take the lead after starting in P9. But the rain came back, allowing the Hitech Pulse-Eight driver to retake the position, with his championship rival, Leonardo Fornaroli, following him through.

Voisin, Lindblad, and Minì all elected to stay on the slicks and brave it out in the rain, with the hope that the track would dry later on.

That is exactly what happened as, entering the final stages, the trio flew through the pack and into the lead, going on to cross the line within two seconds of one another.

This was bad news for Voisin as he had been given a 10-second penalty for overtaking Max Esterson off the track, meaning that he dropped to third, promoting Lindblad to P1 and Minì to second.

Van Amersfoort Racing’s Tommy Smith would score his first Formula 3 points in fourth ahead of Wisnicki, who came from last on the grid. Oliver Goethe also made a late charge to P6 while Fornaroli put in a late move on Browning to take seventh.

Nikita Bedrin ended up in P9 for AIX Racing as VAR driver Noel León took the last point in P10.
