TZ Virtual Event: Navigating the Emotional Rollercoaster of Redundancy

Date: Tuesday 26 March, 2024

Time: 1.00pm - 2.00pm GMT

Location: Virtual

The Tentacle Zone runs weekly virtual events on a whole host of games industry topics for our workspace residents. We are opening up this topic for the wider industry so that those who might find it useful can join us.

This talk offers practical strategies for coping, rebuilding, and thriving amidst the challenges of coming to terms with redundancy. Through an exploration of the Change Curve and other resilience-building tools, attendees will gain insights into the cyclical nature of emotions associated with redundancy, validating their feelings of shock, loss, and uncertainty while providing a roadmap for navigating through stages of acceptance and adaptation. Emphasising the importance of self-care, participants will learn techniques for managing stress and building resilience to support the mindset through this challenging time.

Please note:

We will send a virtual meeting link and details for our attendees to join the day before the event to those that have registered. The event is free to attend, but please let us know if you can't attend so someone else can take your space!
