Black Myth Wukong new screenshots-3

Black Myth: Wukong will have Ray Tracing Global Illumination, Shadows & Reflections on PC

Black Myth: Wukong is one of my most anticipated games of 2023. This third-person action game will be released on August 20th, and it will have full Ray Tracing effects on PC.

As NVIDIA stated, the game will launch with support for Ray Tracing Global Illumination, Shadows and Reflections. As such, it will be a graphical showcase on PC. I mean, the game looked amazing even without its RT effects. So yeah, this might be THE game to showcase your high-end GPU.

Moreover, Black Myth: Wukong will support NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction. Thanks to this AI-powered tech, owners of all RTX series GPUs will be able to enjoy better visuals.

For those unaware, DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction can minimize the noise artifacts/issues of the ray-traced effects. It’s basically a better and more efficient RT denoiser. And, contrary to Frame Generation, all of the RTX series GPUs support it.

Black Myth: WuKong is a third-person game that is based on Journey to the West, and will focus on the Monkey King and his special abilities. Additionally, the game will offer players 72 different abilities to use.

The game promises to have a diverse cast of adversaries, each with unique strengths. As the Destined One, aside from mastering various staff techniques, you can also freely combine different spells, abilities, weapons, and equipment to find the winning formula that best suits your combat style.

Game Science hasn’t shared yet the game’s official PC system requirements. So, let’s hope that it will be at least scaleable. After all, the game will be using Unreal Engine 5. Let’s also hope that it won’t suffer from any major stuttering issues.

I also hope that the game will support AMD FSR 3.0 at launch. While it’s amazing news that there will be support for DLSS 3.5, Frame Generation is locked behind the RTX40 series GPUs. Thus, AMD FSR 3.0 will be a must for everyone else, especially for those with an RTX 30 series GPU who want to enable Ray Tracing.

Finally, NVIDIA shared a new in-engine trailer for Black Myth: Wukong. This trailer shows off the game’s ray-traced effects. So, be sure to check it out.

Enjoy!
