Best Overwatch 2 support tier list: Most popular characters for Season 11

Support Tier List for Overwatch 2

In Overwatch 2 Season 11, a lot of things have changed for support, and knowing which ones are the meta is key, so here’s our tier list of who are the best.

Season 11‘s mid-season update has just arrived and it has brought a lot of changes for Tanks, especially now that the entire role has gotten a buff giving all of them better sustain, it also means quite a fair few changes in the Support meta.

Especially now that the Mauga meta is back in the fold, certain heroes’ viability has shot right up, whilst others have dipped.

Based on the data available via Overbuff and how we’ve felt the meta play out, here is how the different support heroes stack up to each other.

Contents

S Tier

Lucio

OW2 Lucio

Lucio still remains a key support in piloting many compositions, with his capacity to speed up all allies massively, his kit places him as a welcome addition into any team comp regardless of the meta. Alongside that, Lucio has one of the best forms of mobility in wall riding. So if you have no idea what to play, just pick Lucio.

Ana

OW2 Ana

Ana may have taken a dip in recent seasons, however, now that Season 11’s mid-season patch has brought Mauga back to the top of the meta, her Biotic Nade has become more important than ever to counter him.

Kiriko

Kiriko from overwatch 2

When it comes to flex supports, Kiriko is always a great choice no matter the composition. She has great mobility, great damage output (if you’re mechanically skilled enough to land kunai headshots), and enough healing to keep your team alive. Although, her Suzu was nerfed in the Season 11 patch, but it’s still a fantastic ability, and when paired with Lucio, they both make a rock-solid backline.

A Tier

Baptiste

OW2 Baptiste

With the right player behind him, Baptiste can almost function as a second hitscan DPS for the team, all the while healing the team. And with Immortality Field and Amp Matrix being helpful to save a teammate from death or shift the tempo, Bap is a great pick.

Illari

Illari from overwatch 2

Illari has gotten quite the buff in Season 11’s update, with her Healing Pylon and Outburst getting improvements, and with it, she moves up in the list. Illari’s healing output is now higher which now makes it very hard to kill enemies who are being pocketed by her pylon, and if used by a skilled player, she can dish out a lot of damage.

B Tier

Moira

moira in overwatch 2

Although not exactly meta in the top play, for most players, Moira is still quite powerful in Season 11 as she can dish out tons of healing and damage while having enough mobility to peel or escape dives, which is what makes up for Moira’s lack of utility. With brawl becoming the meta in Season 10, she’s definitely not a bad choice.

Brigitte

OW2 Brigitte

Brigitte may not be a hero you pick in every lobby, but she’s incredibly effective at her job as an anti-dive peel support. Her Inspire passive gives a good amount of healing while her ultimate Rally makes her ridiculously tanky and provides a Stun to her Shield Bash.

C Tier

Zenyatta

Zenyatta Overwatch 2

In a meta that’s focused on brawl, it can be hard for Zenyatta to stay alive, especially now in Season 11. Although Discord orb still remains powerful, it can only be so powerful when the enemy Tank and DPS are targeting your backline and you’re the easiest target.

D Tier

Lifeweaver

Lifeweaver from Overwatch 2

Lifeweaver remains an oddball in Overwatch 2. With a kit that primarily focuses on repositioning allies, his abilities can find usage in the hands of a good player. However, he requires far more skill than the other supports. Lifeweaver can still do good in Season 11, but you’re better off choosing other heroes on this list.

Mercy

OW2 Mercy

You may find that in Season 11, Mercy’s pick rate has exploded, and that’s thanks to Pink Mercy’s return. However, that does not mean she has shot up in the meta, as unfortunately she is still quite weak in comparison to the rest of the roster. With measly healing output, no efficient way to damage opponents, and a resurrect that is easy to cancel by good opponents, she isn’t exactly the best right now.
