Respeccing in Baldur's Gate 3
Unlocking respeccing might prove to be a tedious process.

While respeccing is a feature available in Baldur’s Gate 3, you need to unlock it first to use it. To do this, simply follow the steps below:

  • After your character wakes up on the beach during the first act of the game, you can find a set of double doors next to the Overgrown Ruins waypoint as indicated on the map above.
  • Enter the doors by either lockpicking or by scaling the top of the cliff to reach an alternative entrance – be wary of bandits if you do this!
  • Once inside the Dark Crypt, you’ll find an ornate sarcophagus that you can open to make Withers appear.
  • After some brief dialogue, Withers will head back to your camp.
  • You can then head back to the camp and respec your character for 100 Gold.

Is there a limit to how many times you can respec in Baldur’s Gate 3?

No, there is no limit to how often you can respec characters.

Once you’ve made Withers appear he’ll remain at your camp for the rest of the game, and you’ll have the option to respec any of your characters whenever you want, as long as you’ve got enough funds to cover the cost.
