The person who made this clearly went overboard, it has nearly 90k tris which is way too many polys for hair. If anyone likes this hair and is experienced in modelling, I recommend doing some retopology so it's not so high. I will admit that if you're just using this for one avatar/model then you should be fine with the way it is. But if you're using it in any instance where there's multiple avatars in one setting. It can cause lag, especially if they all have unatlased textures and high poly counts.
