How many tickets can I reserve?

Visitors can reserve up to nine tickets for personal use. If you would like to purchase 10 or more tickets or are interested in a guided visit, please fill out our online form.

IS PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED INSIDE THE MANSION?

Yes, non-commercial photography without flash is welcomed. For the safety of our visitors and collections, the use of tripods, monopods, selfie sticks and related equipment are not permitted. The use of hand-stabilizers and gimbals is permitted when used as an accessibility accommodation with prior approval. Please email CHAccess@si.edu with questions or to confirm the date of your visit.

are THE SHOP, Cafe, and garden OPEN?

Yes. Tickets are not required to visit SHOP Cooper Hewitt, the cafe, and garden.

Regular hours:
10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., daily

CAN I EAT AND DRINK INSIDE THE MANSION?

No, food and drink are not permitted in the museum.

IS THERE FREE WI-FI AVAILABLE?

Yes. You can connect to it by selecting the “SI-VISITOR” network.

CAN I CARRY MY BAG/UMBRELLA INTO THE MUSEUM?

Please leave large bags and oversized umbrellas at home.

ARE STROLLERS PERMITTED IN THE MANSION?

Yes, compact strollers are allowed.

IS SKETCHING PERMITTED IN THE MANSION?

Yes, but no ink or markers, please.

CAN I BRING MY PET?

Sorry, no pets allowed anywhere on our campus. Licensed service animals are allowed.

ARE WHEELCHAIRS AVAILABLE?

Wheelchairs are available on a first come, first serve basis.

HOW ACCESSIBLE IS THE MUSEUM?

Cooper Hewitt offers a variety of access services so that everyone may enjoy the museum to the fullest extent possible. In the Great Hall, our Visitor Experience team is available to answer any questions about accessibility.
