I am experiencing the same issue. I am on Windows 10 64 bit. I run the trainer, it says customized for... etc. and then it closes itself. Then Windows is automatically preparing a crash report. I have all Windows defender stuff turned off.
Anyone a suggestion of what to do?

I can't seem to get the trainer for +empire Edition to work.

I have disabled windows 10 Firewall, Windows Defender and run as Admin, both the Trainer and the Game. Also tried F1 in game and with ALt+TAB and than activating. Both ways I get trainer activated, also in trainer it shows activated.
options don't seem to work (e.g. money/building/technology/etc) and pressing F7 crashes the game.

Anything else I might try to get this to work?

I use the Empire Edition from sept 2014, so it looks like the trainer is the right version. (also tried 10 previous versions, all with the same result).

same here, new trainer works fine with patch, but only on the first level (Mine). Any others have this problem?

Game crashed for me, when ever I pick up Caps or recipes. Everything else seems to work fine though (so far).

So far I have tried:

Re-installed the game: no effect
Update graphicscard drivers: no effect
loaded game from launcher: no effect
loaded game from civilization5.exe: no effect
loaded game from shortcuts: no effect
uninstalled all visual C++ and reinstalled it: no effect

so no luck so far.

Yesterday the game worked fine, with and without the trainer.
Today (after a reboot) the game starts, but crashes as soon as I load any game I have previously saved.

I can start a new game fine though.
It makes no difference if I have the trainer on or not.

Any ideas?

With me it worked like a charm with all the cheats on, so i guess I am the lucky one

That's what I call REAL service!!!

Yepp same here, game crashes when you press F1 in the game menu. I am using the Procyon version btw....
