I've been using Aurora successfully on my Steam Deck for a long time now, and I've used it with Death Stranding and everything was perfect. It's been some time now since I used my Steam Deck, I tried running Death Stranding today, Aurora would start but the game doesn't.

I switched to Desktop Mode, I ran the game, Aurora started, the game did not, but I noticed that when I closed Aurora, then the game started right after.

It seems like the games are no longer running in parallels with Aurora, but only if you close Aurora, as if it's blocking the game somehow from running.

I tried it also with 3 other games, same behavior.

Aurora version: 1.9.9.6

Are you using our Steamdeck tool or another launcher?

Hey, I'm using SteamTinkerLauncher.

By the way, I think I figured out the issue, so I opted out of Beta on my Steam Deck and everything worked fine again. I just tried again now after enabling Beta again, and I get the same issue, the games only run after closing Aurora.

At least for SteamOS 3.6 Steamtinkerlauncher required a specific build / update. So you might need to report your issue to the STL developers. It could be that STL needs an update again.

Actually before doing this you could test it yourself by choosing another app instead of Aurora to launch with your game. If the game still won't launch until you close the other app it's definitely a STL issue.

People need to stop using beta. So many issues arise from it.
