How often is Capology salary data updated?
We publish four major updates per year: in July (summer transfer window opens), October (summer transfer window closes), February (winter transfer window closes), and May (end of season). Where does Capology get salary data?
We source salary data from all over the web, news, social, industry experts, and a network of sources who help us verify player salaries around the world.

How accurate is Capology salary data?
We strongly advise that all salaries on our website are estimates, even verified players. While Capology strives for accuracy, we do not have access to players' contracts for official confirmation. However, the accuracy of Capology's coverage strongly correlates to the popularity of any given league. For example, the English Premier League, Serie A, and MLS are Capology's most accurate salaries based on trusted sources, the amount of press coverage, and the interest of the Capology community.

How does Capology calculate gross and net salaries?
We consulted international tax professionals to determine best taxation rates across many countries. Because some countries tend to report gross salaries and others report net, Capology performs a backwards or a forwards calculation to determine the other half of our salary estimate for each player.

What does Capology mean by "verified"?
A player's wage is "verified" if provided directly by the club, the player's agent, or an intermediary, and/or is confirmed by 2 or more sources.

No, not at this time. All estimates of bonuses are presented as a single cumulative figure with no distinctions for signing, performance, or incentives structure.

Does Capology have salary coverage for any women's leagues?
We do not have salary coverage for any women's professional football leagues. Truthfully, not a lot of data is publicly available on this subject. If and when that changes, Capology will definitely consider expansion into the women's game.

What is the Search Players Tool?

What's the difference between Football Plus and Football Pro?

How many members can I add to my team?
Football Pro provides access for up to 10 team members and Football Plus for 2 team members. For teams larger than 10, please contact us.

How do I add a new person to my team?
New team members can be added with first name and email (both required) from the team dashboard. All new team members will be sent login information via email including a unique generated password. Please check spam folders for this introduction email.
Only group admins can add new team members.

Which leagues does Capology have standardized financial coverage?
Capology has standardized coverage for 10 leagues. You can review our pricing page for the most current count and list.

Is Capology's standardized financial coverage the same for all clubs and countries?
Yes! We have converted Capology's financial coverage to a single standardization model for all clubs and countries. Please note: some clubs and/or countries have empty line items as a result of missing details from the annual reports based on country-specific reporting standards.

What kind of standardized coverage does Capology have?
Capology provides a 10-year standardized view of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement (P&L). We do not have any standardized Cash Flow Statements. Note: Some clubs and countries have may have coverage less than 10 years.

Is Capology's standardized financial data available with an API subscription?
Yes. Our API Finance subscription is the only subscription that can pull finance data from the Capology API. Please contact sales for more information.

What currency are standardized accounts in?
Capology records standardized accounts in the primary currency of any club's country. However, if any country's primary currency is not the Euro, Pound, or US Dollar, those standardized accounts will be coverted to one of those three major currencies based on region and existing salary coverage.

Both. Capology API requests typically return batch results (all players) as defined by your search criteria, such as LEAGUE_ID, CLUB_ID, SEASON_ID, and/or PLAYER_ID. API requests can also return single results (one player) if your search criteria includes a specific PLAYER_ID AND SEASON_ID.

Can I set a currency preference with my Capology account?
After creating a free Capology account, you can set your default currency to Euros, Pounds, the US Dollar, or Default. Capology's Default setting will show each league in the base currency that is used primarily in the country or region. For example, the English Premier League's default currency is the British Pound, Euros is the default currency for Italy and Spain, and the US Dollar is default for the MLS. Note: all North and South American leagues are recorded in US Dollars. To change your settings, login to your account, click settings, then "Change Defaults".

Can I see all salaries as Net and not Gross?
After signing up for a free Capology account, you can set your default salary type to Gross or Net. By default, Capology displays all salaries as Gross, or pre-tax, estimates. By choosing Net, all salary pages on Capology.com will be set to post-tax estimates upon login. To change your settings, login to your account, click settings, then "Change Defaults".
