Story
Daphne always loved the way her fiancé Peter told their story. How they met (on a blustery day), fell in love (over an errant hat), and moved back to his lakeside hometown to begin their life together. He really was good at telling it…right up until the moment he realized he was actually in love with his childhood best friend Petra.

Loved this one! It’s full of wit and Julia Whalen is the best when it comes down to narrator’s! For those that liked Beach Read and Book Lovers, this is definitely the one! Plus anyone that has a heart for Northern Michigan—you already know how it’s going to make you feel.

Listen, I did the tandem read with this and TOD, but let me just say that this book is single handedly, one of the most jaw dropping, incredible reading experiences I have ever experienced. I loved it and I hope others do too. I am not ready for this journey to end.

If you have a dark sense of humor, this is actually laugh out loud funny. It isn’t insanely spicy but the trigger warnings are definitely there for a reason. If you are a crime junkie, smut reader this one is for you. Also the audio performance definitely makes it.

Nora Stephens' life is books—she’s read them all—and she is not that type of heroine. Not the plucky one, not the laidback dream girl, and especially not the sweetheart. In fact, the only people Nora is a heroine for are her clients, for whom she lands enormous deals as a cutthroat literary agent, and her beloved little sister Libby. Which is why she agrees to go to Sunshine Falls, North Carolina, for the month of August when Libby begs her for a sisters’ trip away.

If you like a quirky, laugh out loud, easy to read book, this is definitely it. If you loved her other two books, READ THIS. If you loved this book, absolutely read her other two. She has such a way with getting you to fall in love with the characters and feel for them as if you ARE them. A 12/10 fun and easy read.

I decided to read this book after a few recommendations on TikTok and I am incredibly happy that I did. It took so much out of me and it took me a while to get through it, I think mainly because I did not want it to end. I fell absolutely in love with Addie, Henry, and even Luc. My heartfelt for Addie every time someone forgot her and the end left me in tears. Please read this one even if it seems a little out of the ordinary for you. You won't regret it!

Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes best-selling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast. They’re polar opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they're living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer's block.

As an aspiring writer, this book hits close to home.
As a late twenty-something who’s father had an affair, this book hits close to home.
As a girl from Michigan, familiar with the towns across the shores of Lake Michigan and all the magic that they hold, this book hits close to home.
I loved this book and everything about it. I was laughing almost the whole time. My heart was hurting for the characters and what they were going through. I cannot recommend this enough—12/10.

I don't think a lot of people feel the same way as me, but her Maybe series is one of my favorites. I loved books that don't require a lot of thinking and are just feel good in my opinion, and this is definitely a feel good book. I liked this book as a nice coda to the end of the series and I liked hearing a few things from Maggie's point of view.

Okay so I am a die hard Colleen Hoover fan. Like I've read just about all of her books so I feel like I have a sense for her writing. THIS. THIS IS NOT LIKE ANYTHING SHES WRITTEN BEFORE. I was on the edge of my seat until the last page. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a thriller and definitely, in true COHO style, a massive plot twist. 10/10 would recommend.
