Some mystery

Conflict between the two siblings got a little boring. Too much conflict between them without a presenting problem.

When Kate wins an item at her children’s elementary school auction - an all-inclusive trip to SeaView at Sandpiper Bay - she thinks it’s just what her family needs after a decade of career disappointments and a marriage on its last legs. She has no reason to believe that said trip is a Fyre Festival-level fraud and, in fact, the catalyst to her unraveling. But it is. Oh, but it is.

Many people will relate to those lucky enough to have moved up the social and financial ladder more quickly than everyone else and how difficult it is to be happy for them. The events that the author shares are humorous and ones we have all felt.

Lethal Defense was a novel that keeps you involved to the very end. The weaving of the storyline from chapter to chapter made me want to keep listening. Recommend this book as a fun read.
