The OnePlus Shelf can be a very helpful tool for many OnePlus users, however, thanks to it no longer being to the left of the home screen, it’s in a rather annoying place. OnePlus has moved it to the right side of the pulldown. So if you pulldown on the right side of the screen to open your notifications and quick settings, you’ll get the OnePlus Shelf instead.
Luckily, OnePlus does still allow us to turn off this feature and go ahead and go back to what we are used to. So that is what we’ll be showing you how to do today.
New in Oxygen OS 12 on the OnePlus 10 Pro and Oxygen OS 12.1 on the OnePlus 10T, the company has moved the Shelf to this location. That is because Google Discover now sits on the left side of the home screen, where the Shelf used to sit. And unfortunately, you cannot choose to use the Shelf over Discover on that page, like some other phones have allowed in the past. So it either sits in the right side pulldown, or it is turned off completely.
How to disable the ���Launch Shelf from top right corner” feature
To disable this feature, you’ll want to hop into Settings.
Next, scroll down to “Special Features” and tap on that.
Now, find “OnePlus Shelf” which should be the third option, and tap on that.
At the top of this page, there is an option for “Launch Shelf from top right corner”. Just tap on the toggle to turn that off.
And that’s it.
It’s important to note that this does also effectively turn off the OnePlus Shelf. Since it is no longer to the left of the homescreen, that’s where Google’s Discover page now lives. So if you do find yourself using the OnePlus Shelf often, you may want to turn this back on.
