OnePlus has made its “Summer Launch Event” official, and it will be taking place on July 16. But, we know everything that OnePlus is announcing in Milan. This includes the OnePlus Watch 2R, Nord Buds 3 Pro, OnePlus Pad 2 and the OnePlus Nord 4.
Starting off with the OnePlus Watch 2R is going to look a lot like the OnePlus Watch 2 that was announced earlier in the year and received rave reviews. But it’ll be a bit cheaper. OnePlus actually launched a variant of the OnePlus Watch 2 in China just last month, which looks like it’ll be called the OnePlus Watch 2R in other parts of the world. As it is being offered in a green color, and he original OnePlus Watch 2 was not available in green.
With this being an “R” model, you can expect that this will be cheaper than the OnePlus Watch 2, which is already pretty affordable at $299 MSRP. You could expect the OnePlus Watch 2R to be priced around $199 or possibly $229.
OnePlus Pad is getting a worthy successor
Also being announced in Milan next week is the OnePlus Pad 2, which seems to be a pretty good successor to the original. Though it does have big shoes to fill, as the original OnePlus Pad was very impressive. In our review of the OnePlus Pad last year, we said it “First Time’s the Charm”
This year, OnePlus is sticking with mostly the same design aesthetic here, which is a aluminum unibody design, with the OnePlus-style camera module in the center. OnePlus is apparently sticking with curved edges, which does make it easier to hold. Compared to a phone which is smaller, the curved sides are a must for a tablet. As the flat sides would make this pretty uncomfortable to hold.
Inside, the OnePlus Pad 2 will run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, with two memory/storage options – 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB. It will also include a 12.1-inch 144Hz LCD display with 900nits of peak brightness, a 9,510mAh capacity battery and support for 67W charging.
OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro will be the Best Earbuds for the price
Finally, we have the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro, which are also being announced on July 16. OnePlus stated in its teaser that the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro will be “the pinnacle of mid-range ANC earbuds”.
OnePlus will launch the Nord Buds 3 Pro in at least two colors – mint and black, which will match the colors offered for the Nord 4. The company will likely include the Nord Buds 3 Pro as a freebie when ordering the Nord 4 in some regions too. These earbuds continue to use the AirPods design – which Samsung is also using on its Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. OnePlus is using a mixture of glossy and matte finishes on these earbuds. Where the actual earbud is glossy with the stem being a matte finish, these will likely sound incredible for the asking price, just as previous Nord Buds were.
